After the trying five game stretch, Moy emerged unbeaten in each of his No. 2 singles matches, improving his overall record to 6-1 on the season.

Moy’s coach, Melinda Bell, attributes his success this season to quick footwork and a variety of shots, including a devastating drop shot that Moy can unleash at any time. Moy’s prowess hitting that particular shot, helps set up the powerful slam he possesses as well.

His technique and ability comes as no surprise to his coach, especially given Moy’s work ethic.

Said Bell, “Kevin studies the game and the professionals and is able to learn and have technically correct form with all his shots.”

In fact, Bell has been approached by opposing coaches who say their players have never seen such precision (on Moy’s backhand in particular) and ability from a high school player.
