Fatal Reisterstown Road Crash Involved Emergency Vehicle: Police

A woman and her dog were killed after their vehicle was hit by a Baltimore County first responder, police said.

One person died in a serious crash on Reisterstown Road Thursday that involved a Baltimore County emergency medical services supervisor, according to police.

Delores Scott, 72, and her dog died after their Honda was hit by the supervisor’s vehicle on Reisterstown Road in the area of St. Thomas Shopping Center at approximately 3:09 p.m., police reported.

The emergency medical services supervisor was taken to Sinai Hospital for treatment of injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening, police reported.

Scott was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the report.

Reisterstown Road was completely shut down in the area of St. Thomas Lane until 6:40 p.m., according to police.

Police said the Baltimore County crash team is investigating, and the investigation into the collision will likely take several weeks.
