This remains an active an ongoing investigation.

October 11, 2021

Shortly after 2 a.m. this morning, Baltimore County Police responded to the 6700 block of Windsor Mill Road for an armed robbery. A preliminary investigation reveals the suspects were then involved in a hit and run at Dogwood Road and Gwynn Oak Avenue while attempting to escape from police. Following that crash, it’s believed several people bailed out of the vehicle. A Baltimore County Police Officer located one of the individual at the corner of Englewood and Gilmore Street where the two exchanged gunfire. During that exchange an officer suffered injuries to his lower body; he was not shot. The officer was transported to an area hospital. A deceased person was later located nearby by K-9 units. The investigation into the officer’s actions will be conducted by the Maryland Attorney General’s Office’s Independent Investigations Division and the MSP, with assistance by the Baltimore County Police Department.
