Baltimore Humane Society New Progam Eases Veterans and Service Members Transitions

Baltimore Humane Society announces the roll out of Pets for Patriots, a program that eases the transitions of veterans and active duty service men and women.

On this Veteran's Day we are excited and proud to announce the roll out of our partnership with Pets for Patriots! Pets for Patriots provides the most overlooked homeless dogs and cats a second chance at a happy life while giving veterans, active duty military, and their families the gift of unconditional friendship and love. We've also partnered with Perry Hall Animal Hospital. Read more here about our program  -http://www.bmorehumane.org/adopt/pets-for-patriots.

In a nutshell -- Pets for Patriots makes pet ownership more achievable and affordable to active or inactive members of the military by offering:
• Free pet adoptions at Baltimore Humane Society to all military (once approved by Pets for Patriots)
• 10% discount at the Baltimore Humane Society low cost Spay-Neuter Veterinary Wellness Center
• 20% discount for veterinary care for the life of the pet at Perry Hall Animal Hospital to ensure that service members will be able to afford their pets’ medical care
• $150 gift card upon proof of eligible adoption with Pets for Patriots to help with food and other essentials
• Free membership to Pets for Patriots for all service members. Individuals are welcome to take advantage of the Pets for Patriots program from all United States armed forces and at any stage of their careers.

To apply for approval for the Pets for Patriots program go to http://petsforpatriots.org.  It only takes a few days to get the approval. Then come on over the shelter to meet your future best friend.  After going through our normal adoption process, you can then go home together.

Please spread the word to any service men or women you know!
