Bar Fight Leads To Murder Charge For Reisterstown Man: Police

ESSEX, MD — Police said a Reisterstown man was charged in the deadly stabbing at a bar in Essex over the weekend.

Shawn Alan Parks, 32, of the 200 block of Log House Way, is charged with first- and second-degree murder.

The charges stem from a bar fight that escalated at Brewers Landing Bar & Grill, where officials said multiple fights broke out early Sunday morning.

Around 1:40 a.m., police said officers were dispatched to the bar in the 800 block of Woodrow Avenue, where one man was stabbed and another was injured.

Roger Paul Walker, 25, of the 4000 block of Torner Road in Essex, was taken to MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center, where he was pronounced deceased, according to authorities.

Officials said Parks was taken to an area hospital but remains in police custody.

Parks is being held without bail pending a bail review hearing at 1 p.m. Monday, court records show.
