OWINGS MILLS, MD — Along with crisp air and turning leaves, a fall tradition for many families is a visit to a local pumpkin patch. While the coronavirus pandemic has caused some of the region's pumpkin patches to modify how they operate, quite a few will be open this fall. We have hours, attractions and activities as the pumpkin-picking season ramps up.
Below is a list of some of our favorite pumpkin patches and fall festivities near Owings Mills and Reisterstown:

- Saturday, Oct. 31: Reserve a 20-minute time slot on eventbrite.
- Attractions: Car trunks will be decorated for Halloween at the Army Base parking lot next to the fire station. Children will enjoy a pumpkin patch, take-home craft activity kits, swag items, music/entertainment, prizes, candy and more.
- Admission: Free, but each car must have a ticket.

- Attractions: Corn maze, farm animals

- Hours: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday
- Attractions: Fall Harvest Festival is every weekend in October. Hayrides to apple and pumpkin picking, pony rides, face painting, scarecrow making, pumpkin bounce, music, petting zoo and baked goods.
- Hay rides and wagon rides to the pumpkin patch or apple orchard are $1 (children under 1 are free). Bring crash for outside vendors.

- Season opening/closing dates: Open now through Nov. 8; hours vary.
- Attractions: Fairy Forest, maze, pumpkin picking, cow train, pony rides, petting zoo
- Pricing: $8 per person; pony rides, wagon rides (weekdays) and cow train rides $2.50 each; small pumpkin $3; goat feed bag $1; and express train ride $5.

Legends of the Fog, 500 Carsins Run Road, Aberdeen
- Season opening: Friday, Oct. 2
- Open 6:30 to 10 p.m. on Oct. 2, 3, 9, 10, 16, 17, 23, 24, 30 and 31
- Open 6:30 to 9 p.m. on Oct. 18, 25 and 29
- Attractions: The drive-thru experience features creatures stirring in the fog.
- Tickets are $25 for one vehicle and rider and $10 for each additional rider.

- Attractions: Corn maze with time travel theme, hayrides, carnival games
