Boy Shot In Woodlawn Was Targeted: Police

A two-car crash off Liberty Road injured one person, according to officials, who said the boy had been shot.

WOODLAWN, MD — A boy who was shot and injured Sunday in Woodlawn was targeted, police reported Monday.

Officers said they found the boy near the site of a two-vehicle crash in the 8500 block of Liberty Road, where they were called early Sunday morning for a two-vehicle crash near the intersection of Liberty and Old Court roads.

The boy was in a 2006 Dodge Charger, whose driver accelerated into oncoming traffic and was hit by a Ford Fusion, police said.

Neither driver was injured, according to authorities.

"While this case remains under investigation, detectives believe this was a targeted attack," the Baltimore County Police Department said in a statement Monday.
