Back-to-School Food

I'm getting ready to start school tomorrow. Breakfast helps because it gives you energy and helps you concentrate on the teacher, not how long it is until lunch.

Iโ€™m getting ready to start school tomorrow. ย I think good meals help me in school. ย Breakfast helps because it gives you energy and helps you concentrate on the teacher, not how long it is until lunch. ย Some good breakfasts that I enjoy are cereal (like Cheerios or Cracklinโ€™ Oat Bran), egg omelets, or apples and peanut butter. ย Today my dad and I worked together to make an omelet with purple bell peppers, onions, ham, and Swiss cheese. ย I think weโ€™re going to repeat that one tomorrow.

For my first school lunch, Iโ€™m packing a salad with ham, hard-boiled eggs, cheese, and bell peppers with a balsamicย vinaigrette. ย Iโ€™m also packing crackers, a few M&Ms, and an apple for a snack. ย I eat lunch at school this year at 10:20 AM. ย Thatโ€™s way too early, but I still get an afternoon snack, which is a good thing. ย Dinner is very important too. ย I think itโ€™s my favorite meal of all. ย Weโ€™re having a special back-to-school dinner tonight. ย Itโ€™s pasta with shrimp and scallops with homemade honey whole wheat bread and a green salad. ย Going to bed with a full stomach helps me sleep and gets me ready for school in the morning.
