Catsino - The Stakes Are High For Popeye the Cat
Baltimore Humane Society is placing all odds on Catsino Night, an event to support the care of cats at its no-kill shelter.
Baltimore Humane Society is placing all odds on Catsino Night, an event to support the care of cats at its no-kill shelter.ย Bโmore Humane has been operating its cattery at full capacity for almost three years now, and Catsino will help support the care of all those homeless cats on Saturday, November 3rd at Motherโs Federal Hill Grille with a night of faux gaming.ย
Popeye the Cat will be one of the beneficiaries of Catsino Night with all proceeds from the 50/50 Raffle going toward her medical care.ย This two year old domestic longhaired cat surrendered to Baltimore Humane Society due to landlord issues, has been living with an extremely painful eye condition called "eyelid agenesis." That means she was born with eyelids that were not fully developed. The result is that her eyelashes rub on her eyes causing corneal ulcers and eye infections that are very uncomfortable. ย Popeye needs an expensive ophthalmic surgical procedure to correct her condition.ย It is extensive eye surgery that will take several procedures and cost thousands of dollars.ย
Baltimore Humane Society's policy is to give the medical treatment necessary that our homeless animals need to live a happy, full life rather than euthanize them.ย But the cost of these medical procedures can add up quickly and place a huge financial burden on our already strained budget. That's why we need the help of generous people who can allow us to fulfill our mission.ย
