Free Pet Trust Seminar Meant to Decrease Number of Homeless Pets Due to Poor Planning

Prevent your pet from ending up in an animal shelter because of poor planning. Attend the free seminar on Saturday, June 9 at the Baltimore Humane Society and learn what you should be doing.

Meet Tinkerbell and Velvet.ย  These two cats came to Baltimore Humane Society after each of their owners passed away.ย  Neither owner made plans for their beloved pets' care if something were to ever happen to them, and now they are left alone waiting for their forever homes.ย  Unfortunately, Tinkerbell's and Velvetโ€™s situations could have been much different if their owners had planned properly.ย

Could your pet find itself in the same frightening situation?

Sadly, day after day the Baltimore Humane Society takes in pets whose owners have passed away or become too sick to care for them.ย  A seminar on Saturday, June 9th teaches pet owners how to plan properly for the unknown future of their furry family members. Itโ€™s Bโ€™more Humaneโ€™s way of bringing down the number of homeless pets. This is the second such seminar offered by the no-kill shelter in response to the popularity of the first one.ย

People are taught to plan for their spouse and kids, but what happens to the family pet if life takes a bad turn?ย  Who will take care of your little friend?ย  Will they know what your petโ€™s needs are?ย

A free seminar on June 9th about pet trusts will teach how to ensure that your best friend will be taken care of if youโ€™re no longer able.ย  The seminar is co-hosted by Baltimore Humane Society and Michael Hodes, LLC with guest presenter, Michael C. Hodes, Esquire.ย  ย ย Pet insurance and charitable ways you can help other homeless animals will also be covered.ย
