Happy Endings Calendar Starring Joe Flacco and Furry Adoptables, Leon Fleisher, & Candy Corn Calicos

The Baltimore Humane Society is very fortunate to have so many wonderful volunteers from the community who share their varied talents with us.   If you’ve ever looked at the photos of our adoptable pets, then you’ve more than likely noticed the beautiful work of one such volunteer, Mary Swift.  Mary has been volunteering her photography services to us for a number of years and has made a significant impact in our adoption rate.  I’m excited to announce that Mary created a fantastic 2012 calendar featuring the happy ending stories of cats and dogs who stayed at Baltimore Humane Society.  If you are an animal lover, then you’ll want to purchase a copy of this beautiful, heartwarming calendar.

More exciting news for lovers of classical music!  Leon Fleisher, recipient of the 2007 Kennedy Center Honors, profiled in 60 Minutes, and subject of the 2006 Oscar-nominated short documentary Two Hands: The Leon Fleisher Story is holding an intimate concert in his Baltimore home to benefit Baltimore Humane Society!  This is a very special opportunity you don’t want to miss.  Leon  Fleisher will perform piano along with Katherine Jacobson.  Guest artists also performing will be Qing Li on violin, Victoria Chiang on viola, and Evan Drachman playing cello.  Guests will be treated to an intimate performance in Mr. Fleisher’s Music Room!
