This week's Pets of the Week at Baltimore Humane Society are Meme and Annato.

Meme:   

MeMe is a senior English Staffordshire Terrier mix, although you would never know it! This fast-as-lightning pup has a truly warm, loving personality.  MeMe wants nothing more in life than to be shown love and affection after having come from a dreadful background. In fact, she will often press herself tightly against people just so she can be as close as she possibly can; all the while giving kisses and showing off her belly! She is as playful and energetic as a young puppy. Please come meet this beautiful love bug - she will make you fall in love!

Annato: 

Hello! My name is Annato. My friend Valentino and I were adopted from BHS back in 2008, but we were recently returned because our guardians were having a new baby; and I guess could no longer care for us. I can be something of a shy guy, and like to hide under the blankets and cat beds in my cage. Sometimes I do have accidents and pee outside of my litterbox, but the staff has added "Cat Attract" powder to my litterbox and it is helping. My previous guardian said that I enjoy being brushed, but I don't really like being carried around. I would make a great companion for someone who's looking for a friend to come home to at the end of a long day. I am hoping that someone will see me and fall in love with me right away, because this type of environment makes me nervous; I like a quiet, laid-back atmosphere. Do you have a forever home for me?
