Mom On Duty

How exciting it is to join Patch as the Reisterstown area Mom Blogger.  Here's my hope:  to become a regular outlet for local resources for anything related to being a mommy:  from activities to support groups, shopping bargains to date night ideas for mom and dad WITHOUT the kids.   I plan to cover the gamut.  In the future, you will see blogs on variant topics a couple of times a week with a special focus on Fridays to promote hot happenings around the area for children and families.  To that end, the best way for me to cover an event (or anything really) is to hear from Patch readers.  Submit things to me and I'll be sure to give your submission every consideration for coverage and publication. 

I look at mom blogging as an interactive endeavor.  Help me help us all!  If you know of a great pediatrician in the area who warrants recognition, let me know.  I'll feature a Q&A with her/him! If a certain little consignment shop always seems to have the cutest cache of Gucci for babies, well, I'll go check it out myself first (*wink*).

I'll also try to post news from the various PTAs in the area and educational tidbits that may be of interest.  In other words, if it matters to you as a mom, then it matters to me!

I'll throw it out there right now that I'm personally looking for a few moms interested in meeting up during the day once a week for coffee and ideas exchange, as well as to get the babies out of the house for about an hour.  Looking at going to my favorite little coffee shop, Java Mammas on Main Street, maybe Wednesday mornings?  Please send me a note if you are interested!
