Mommy and Me

The afternoons and evenings in my household seem to be centered around the wants and needs of my tween.  We have a chunk of time carved out for his demanding homework and study schedule, and then he has sports practice, and a pretty active social life as well.  At dinner, my husband and I sit with him in our dining room and demand his undivided attention for at least thirty minutes. This is a practice I highly recommend.  He is delightful, and hearing about the world from the view of your 11-year-old is funny and eye-opening all at once.  I’ve found it a great way to stay in the loop with him. 

But during the mornings and afternoons, it’s pretty much just Jessica and me.  Although only seven months old, she is busy, inquisitive, fast, hilarious, and smart.  I am seeking more and more creative and innovative ways to help her grow and keep her entertained.  I thoroughly enjoy the “mommy and me” based infant and toddler activities throughout our community. Below, you will find a listing of several.  Some we are already involved in, and some I’ve yet to try.   Please feel free to email me more, and I’ll update this list from time to time.
