MPT Foundation, Inc. names new officers

Wolf to chair board of 501(c)(3) MPT affiliate

Owings Mills, MD- John Anthony Wolf, Esq., chairman of the law firm Ober Kaler, has been elected chair of the MPT Foundation, Inc., the fundraising arm of Maryland Public Television.ย  He is a resident of Ruxton.

Other newly elected officers include vice chairs Carole Sibel, a Lutherville resident and community volunteer, and Nettie R. Johnson, a Rockvilleย resident, who is vice president, communications, at Lockheed Martin.

Kip Mandris, a Parkville resident and public relations consultant in the Baltimore area, was re-elected secretary of the foundation, while William J. McCarthy, Jr., executive director of Associated Catholic Charities and a Lutherville resident, was re-elected treasurer.

The MPT Foundation, Inc. is the 501(c)(3) fundraising affiliate of Maryland Public Television, a state-licensed network and member of the Public Broadcasting Service (PBS).ย  Incorporated in 1981 as the Maryland Public Broadcasting Foundation, Inc., the foundation today comprises approximately two dozen members drawn from Maryland business, civic, and cultural communities to assist MPT in securing private contributions and foundation grants.ย ย
