MPT To Debut 3-Part Series 'The Reagan Presidency'

Documentary provides in-depth look at the decade of immense change, featuring interviews with notable leaders and scholars.

Owings Mills, MD- The Reagan Presidency, a new three-part series, will make its regional premiere on Maryland Public Television on two consecutive nights, May 21 and May 22, at 8 pm.ย  The series reveals new details of the former presidentโ€™s domestic and international policies through interviews with political leaders and scholars.

The first episode, which airs for one hour on Tuesday, May 21, explores domestic issues ranging from candidate Reaganโ€™s controversial post-convention speech; Social Security, immigration, and tax reform; and the presidentโ€™s appointment of the first female Supreme Court justice. ย The next evening, Wednesday, May 22, hours two and three of the film will air, focusing on the Reagan administrationโ€™s foreign policy with an analysis of the role the president played in bringing an end to the Cold War.

The Reagan Presidency provides significant new insights into President Reaganโ€™s Middle East policy and the birth of the so-called War on Terror. The Reagan Presidency features interviews with notable Reagan staff members, congressional leaders, scholars, journalists and presidential biographers including Sandra Day Oโ€™Connor, Condoleezza Rice, Robert Reich, George Shultz, Andrew Young, Paul Volcker, and Bill Bradley, among others.

The documentary was created by The Duncan Entertainment Group, headquartered in Milwaukee.
