Stevenson Universityโs Acceptance Rate Stays Steady
While the acceptance rate stays steady, this fall's freshman class will pull from locations both near and far.
Stevenson University has seen its acceptance rate stay relatively steady this admissions cycle.
Roughly fifty-eight percent of first-year applicants have been accepted to the Owings Mills- and Stevenson-based institution for Fall 2013 matriculation. Roughly fifty-nine percent were accepted last year for Fall 2012 matriculation.
Kelly Farmer, Stevensonโs Director of Freshman Admissions, also reported that since the university operates on a rolling admissions plan, spaces are still available in this fallโs freshman class for motivated students who have yet make a final decision on where to attend and who would still like to apply to Stevenson.

Traditionally, rolling admissions colleges - those that review applications as they are received and make decisions on an on-going basis - become more selective later in the admissions cycle. Stevenson started accepting applications for Fall 2013 admission last summer; therefore, fewer spaces are available for the Fall 2013 freshman class now than were available earlier in the cycle when fewer students had applied and committed to attend the university.
Farmer also noted that the university is seeing growing interest from out of state students and that this yearโs freshman class will be one of if not the most geographically diverse in the universityโs history.
