Sybil and Kiki Are the Pets of the Week

This week's Pets of the Week at Baltimore Humane Society are Sybil and Kiki. Here's what they each have to say:

Sybil:   

Hello, everyone! My name is Sybil, and I came to BHS when someone left me tied me to a tree near the BHS gate. I was so scared and confused! Fortunately, the staff here has spent a lot of time helping me to trust people again, and blossom into a wonderful companion. Tammy is the Intake Manager here, and she and several other staff members have grown to really love me; it feels so good! I'm well taken care of, but now what I really want more than anything is a true forever home of my very own. I love going for long walks and racing around fenced yards as well as playing with tennis balls and non-stuffed toys. Just so you know, I am not a dog who can go to a home with any type of electric fencing. It is unclear how I would be with other dogs, so if you have one, we would do a dog intro to make sure that everyone gets along. Since no one knows whether or not I have been around kids before, it is suggested I live in a home where the children are at least 12 years old. Through positive reinforcement training, I'm learning to respond to basic requests; I'd love to show off my beautiful "sit" for you! Occasionally I'll even paw you endearingly in hopes of acquiring your attention...and a treat or two. I'll make a fantastic, loving companion with whom to share your life and love. Kiki:   

Hello there. My name is Kiki and I am a Tortoiseshell cat. I was brought to BHS with my housemate, Tanya, due to the death of our owner who hadn’t made any provisions for us. I can be a little bit shy at first, but it doesn't take long until I warm up to you! Once I know you, I'll let you pet me all day long! My favorite toys to play with are catnip mice. I've been here for quite a long time now so I'm really hoping to find my true forever home soon! Think you would like me to be your loyal companion? Please stop by and let’s find out!
