Maryland Public Television’s hit series Outdoors Maryland has published a Capture Outdoors Maryland 2014 calendar, available for $14.95 at the online MPT store (http://shop.mpt.org) as well as at Greetings & Readings and The Ivy Book Store. The companion Capture Outdoors Maryland hardcover book is available for $39.95 at the same outlets as well as at Barnes & Noble stores.
The stunning 15-month calendar and coffee table book both represent a special approach to fine-art publishing. An online community of local photographers submitted photos to be considered for this calendar, then the public voted to determine which photos would be published. Photos were selected from more than 12,000 photo submissions, with more than 40,000 voters shaping the final calendar choices.
The sumptuous hardcover coffee table book contains more than 200 high-quality photos on 28 pages of heavy, acid-free paper. The photos were hand picked and laid out by experienced book artists. Both items make the perfect gifts for anyone who loves Maryland or the outdoors.
