Committee Hopes to Bring Live Music to Main Street
A group of Main Street business officials is planning concerts to start in the fall.

Reisterstown officials are planning to put ‘Music on Main Street’ this fall with a series of concerts.
The committee hopes to hold three concerts in September on the weekends following the Reisterstown Festival, which takes place on Saturday, Sept. 8.

“The community response has been overwhelming,” she said.
The survey revealed that people would prefer music on Friday evenings, but Saturday late afternoons would be favorable as well, and most patrons would prefer there to be food, beer and wine. The survey also asked questions about what time to hold concerts, how often to hold them and what kind of artists to book, but the answers were evenly spread for those questions.

The committee is currently looking into local sponsors, local bands to book for the concerts and is also looking into using as the venue.
