The Browns are reportedly looking at the former Ravens running back to fill a hole on their roster.

“We’ve talked about it, but I don’t think we’re there at this point,” Browns coach Mike Pettine told Sports Illustrated Tuesday, when the team’s top running backs were injured.

Rice, the second leading rusher of all time for Baltimore, was released from the Ravens last fall after video from an Atlantic City casino elevator showed him punching his wife.

He has since completed a pretrial intervention program in New Jersey, where he was charged with assault.

“...I feel like I’m a rehabilitated man,” Rice told ESPN last week.

He said he took the past year of being sidelined “as an injury year,” noting it was a mental injury rather than a physical one.
