Drive-By Shooting Suspect Denied Bail In Baltimore County

Police said the man suspected of shooting at someone in a moving vehicle in Baltimore County has been charged with attempted murder.

BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — A man has been charged with attempted murder and other offenses in connection with a shooting in the Windsor Mill area over the weekend. The victim was believed to have been targeted, police said.

Brandon Alexander Brown, 33, has been charged with attempted first-degree murder, first-degree assault, using a firearm in a felony and possession of a firearm by someone with a felony conviction.

Brown, who lives in the 7800 block of Liberty Road, is accused of shooting someone driving by him on Saturday morning on Stony Barr Road near Guild Hall Court. The victim had just dropped someone off at a residence nearby when he was injured, police reported.

The shooting occurred at 4:39 a.m. on Saturday, July 7, officials said, and Brown was arrested at 5:26 a.m. that day.

According to police, the 25-year-old victim drove himself to an area hospital after the shooting and is expected to survive an upper body gunshot wound.

Brown was denied bail and will remain at the Baltimore County Detention Center pending an Aug. 3 preliminary hearing in Baltimore County District Court.
