Black Eyed Susan's One Year Anniversary Celebration

Glyndon, Maryland: Black Eyed Susan Coffee, Candy, Cream & More in Glyndon Village Shopping Center located in historic Glyndon, Maryland celebrates their 1 Year Anniversary on Saturday, November 19, 2011.

The celebration will include the world premier show and sale of Kevin Kallaugher’s 2012 The Economist magazine Calendar from 11 -4 p.m. In addition, Kallaugher will be showing his one of kind pieces of cartoon art work, limited edition prints and books.

From 1-3 p.m. local Jazz Saxophonist Russell Kirk will perform. As a solo artist, Kirk has performed and recorded with a diverse array of celebrated groups, ranging from The Baltimore Symphony Orchestra to George Clinton’s Parliament Funkadelic. Kirk is a two-time recipient of the Maryland State Arts Council Individual Artist Award. Kirk’s self-produced album entitled Black & White, was released in 2007. Kirk will be joined with bassist Jeff Reed. Copies of Kirk’s cd will be available for sale.

In addition to the signing and live jazz music customers are invited to enjoy a slice of Bergers’ Anniversary Cake, meet & greet with Mr. BESt Crab, enter to win a Black Eyed Susan Gift Baskets and view local photography and artwork.

Black Eyed Susan began as a gift basket company in 2004. The company produces Maryland gift baskets. All baskets either feature products that are made in Maryland or carry a Maryland theme.  Business owner Susan Seaman states, “Black Eyed Susan Gift Baskets began selling corporate baskets that specialized in making Maryland visitors feel welcome and their stay more memorable. However, shortly after we began the business and were voted “Best of Baltimore” we began to receive orders from consumers. Our business took off and to date we have sent a taste of Maryland to 45 states.”

Black Eyed Susan Coffee, Candy, Cream and More features some of Maryland’s finniest foods, gifts, local art and of course the “Best of Baltimore” Maryland Themed Black Eyed Susan Gift Baskets. Seaman states, “We are delighted to partner with some of the region’s best local businesses including Zeke’s Coffee and Wockenfuss Candy. The shop also sells pre-packaged goodies including Chesapeake Bay Snack Mix, UTZ Crab Potato Chips, Blue Crab Bay Co. Nuts and Drink Mixes, Maryland Fortune Cookies and Berger hometown chocolate cookies. Plus they sell gift and apparel items featuring the Baltimore Ravens, Orioles and Maryland Themes.
