The temperature is north of 90 degrees at 7:30 at night, but that doesn’t stop a dedicated band of local Shakespearian actors from gathering under a grove of trees to rehearse. The group of performers, part of Reisterstown’s own Reisterstown Theatre project,
are rehearsing the bard’s immortal love story, Romeo and Juliet.
The troupe, under the direction of Josh McKerrow, boasts a
number of local members including community favorites Deb Carson and Bill Soucy, a gifted young actress Shelby Hylton, Kat McKerrow and Theatre Project President Bob Frank. Another dozen or so actors, stage hands and production team members round out the production.
Show dates July 27-August 11 at Hannah More Park (in the
wooded grove by the concession stand) at 12039 Reisterstown Road. Friday and Saturday shows are 8 pm and Sunday shows are 4 pm. Tickets are $10 general
admission and $8 for students/seniors and children 5 and under are free.
