As part of Har Sinai Congregation’s Sefer Salon series, Rabbi Benjamin Sharff and Dr. William Petok will present What do Jewish Comedians Have Against Jewish Families? at 4:30 p.m. followed by a Havdalah service Saturday, May 5, at Har Sinai Congregation (2905 Walnut Ave. in Owings Mills). The program is free and open to the public.
The Sefer Salon program recognizes the rich history of Jewish comedians creating humor from personal and collective experience. Specifically, the program will explore the work of Woody Allen, Mel Brooks, Carl Reiner and others from film and spoken-word comedy.
The Sefer Salon series represents a joint project of the Lifelong Learning and Library committees of Har Sinai Congregation. For more information, call the synagogue at 410-654-9393.
