Fatal Owings Mills Crash Involved Stolen Motorcycle: Police
Police said that the rider of the motorcycle was thrown from the Yamaha on Reisterstown Road.

OWINGS MILLS, MD — A motorcyclist died in a crash in Owings Mills Wednesday night, police reported. The motorcycle had been reported stolen, and authorities said the investigation is open.
Joseph Lee Ray, 30, of the 200 block of Maryland Avenue in Pasadena, was driving a 2008 Yamaha motorcycle west on Reisterstown Road when the bike crested a hill and hit a car that was turning left into the Len Stoler car dealership, police said.
Ray was thrown from the motorcycle and pronounced deceased at the scene, on Reisterstown Road near Cedarmere Road, at approximately 7:14 p.m. on Wednesday, officials reported.

There was no information regarding the other vehicle, except that it was a 2016 Scion turning left into the dealership at 11275 Reisterstown Road.
Northbound Reisterstown Road was closed Wednesday night.between Dolfield Boulevard and Cedarmere Road as authorities investigated.

Police said that the motorcycle that Ray had been riding had been stolen Aug. 6 from the 3000 block of Hunting Ridge Drive.
