Fire At Former Cal Ripken Jr. House Reported
The house in Reisterstown was reportedly the scene a fire on Sunday, Jan. 20.

REISTERSTOWN, MD — Fire broke out at the estate formerly owned by Cal Ripken Jr. Crews responded to the blaze in the 13300 block of Dover Road Sunday morning.
The 25-acre estate, which was custom-built by the Orioles Hall of Famer, has six bedrooms, 10 full bathrooms and five half baths. It includes a baseball diamond, basketball court and swimming pool.
The fire was traced to the boiler room, according to The Baltimore Sun, which said the danger was discovered when smoke was found in the home's gym before 10:15 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 20.

The home was constructed in the mid 1980s and renovated over the years, realtor.com previously reported.
The baseball-themed estate at 13301 Dover Road in Reisterstown was listed for $12.5 million in 2016 but didn't sell.

The following year, Ripken dropped the price to $9.75 million but still had no takers until the May 12 auction.
At the settlement in June 2018, the property was transferred to the Joffe Jefur Separate Property Trust for $3.465 million, according to state property records.
The buyer was fellow Baltimore Oriole Adam Jones, according to The Athletic.
