Fire At Rosewood Center: Investigators Seek 2 Vehicles
Investigators are trying to determine what caused a fire Sunday at the old Rosewood Center campus.
OWINGS MILLS, MD — Investigators are looking into two vehicles in connection with a fire at an abandoned building in Owings Mills. The blaze broke out Sunday night at the Rosewood Center.
Dozens of firefighters responded to the incident, where a single-story wood-framed building was engulfed in flames.
Crews were dispatched to the 200 block of Rosewood Lane after on-site security reported the building blaze at 8:36 p.m. About 60 firefighters responded, according to the Office of the State Fire Marshal, which reported the blaze was under control around 10 p.m.

Because the fire was so heavy, firefighters fought the blaze from the exterior. The Owings Mills Volunteer Fire Company said its Engine 312 and Special Unit 319 were at the scene for four hours.
Officials say they are investigating a blue dually-style pickup truck and a tan sports car related to the incident. Anyone with information may call the Northeast Regional Office Arson Tipline at 410-386-3050.

The Rosewood Center closed in 2009, according to state records. It was operated through the Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene.
Fire investigators said there was no damage due to the fire.
