Maryland Agriculture to Host Flashback Farming

Take a step back into history and experience farming in Maryland during the 17th, 18th, and 19th centuries first hand.

June 25th, 2016, 10am-4pm

Step back in time as you journey through four centuries of Maryland farming. Learn first hand what it was like to be a Baltimore County planter in the late 17th century, see an exhibit on 19th century dairying and make your own butter,or learn how electricity and the telephone changed a farmwife's life. There will be live music, food, and opportunities to get up close and personal with farm animals.

Exhibits and participation from the following: Maryland Agricultural Resource Council, Millstone Cellars, Baltimore Museum of Industry, Port Discovery, Historic St. Mary's City, Baltimore County Department of Recreation and Parks, Carroll County Farm Museum, Historical Society of Baltimore County, Steppingstone Farm Museum and Hampton National Historic Site.
