Franklin Football Claims North Regional Title

The Indians beat out their Baltimore County rivals in the 3A north regional championship.

Franklin High School is headed to the state football playoffs again after clinching the 3A north title Saturday.

The Indians beat the Milford Mill Millers, 28-7, according to the Maryland Public Secondary School Athletic Association (MPSSAA). The game was at 1 p.m. Saturday at Milford Mill Academy.

Next up, the Indians play the Glenelg Gladiators in the state semifinals at 7 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 25. The game will take place at Franklin High School, 12000 Reisterstown Road, Reisterstown.

The Indians won the state championship in 2013 and 2014. Last year Franklin made it to the regional finals but fell to Dundalk, which ended up second in the state after the Damascus Hornets took the 2015 title.

The state final will be on Saturday, Dec. 3, at the Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium in Annapolis.
