Free Treats Near Owings Mills Offered On First Day Of Spring 2019

OWINGS MILLS, MD — Rita's and Dairy Queen are both offering free treats to celebrate the start of spring. This year's first day of spring is expected to be sunny with temperatures in the mid-50s, so you may be able to enjoy dessert outside.

Rita's will give away a free small Italian ice to all customers who stop by on Wednesday, March 20.

In Owings Mills, there are two Rita's, and there's also one in Reisterstown.

• 11700 Reisterstown Road, Reisterstown. Open daily from noon to 9 p.m.
• 9700 Groffs Mill Drive, Owings Mills. Open daily from noon to 9 p.m.
• 9103 Reisterstown Road, Owings Mills. Open daily from noon to 9 p.m.

Dairy Queen will be handing out free small vanilla cones all day long at participating stores on Wednesday, March 20, in honor of the first day of spring. Customers are asked to make a contribution to the Children's Miracle Network as part of the promotion.

The free cone deal will be offered at all non-mall locations, according to DQ. The nearest is at 2030 Liberty Road/MD 26 in Eldersburg, open from 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.
