The Greene Turtle Sports Bar & Grille(R) to "Deflate" Beer Prices by 49 Percent for 49th Annual "Big Game" on Feb. 1
Promotion inspired by "Deflate-gate" controversy involving the New England pro football team

HANOVER, Md. (Jan. 22, 2015) – The Greene Turtle Sports Bar & Grille announced today that it will “deflate” beer prices by 49 percent on Sunday, Feb. 1, between 6 p.m. and midnight in recognition of the “Deflate-gate” controversy involving the New England professional football team.
“A big part of the dining experience at The Greene Turtle involves watching sports, but when one of the teams isn’t playing by the rules it can make the entire experience kind of deflating,” said Chris Janush, Vice President of Marketing for The Greene Turtle Franchising Corporation. “As a result, we felt a need to give something back to the fans to make up for this insult to all that is sacred about America’s favorite sport. And that thing we’re giving back is beer at a 49-percent discount.”
Customers who purchase any food item, such as an appetizer, burger, sandwich, salad or entrée, during the six-hour “Big Game” promotion will have the regular beer price reduced by 49 percent for all beer purchases on that dining check. This “low-PSI” offer cannot be combined with a Greene Turtle Reward or any other offers.
