Hampton Inn, Technology Firm to Join Red Run Business: Owings Mills Development Roundup

Two major construction projects along Red Run Boulevard are on track to be completed late this summer.

A place to work and a place to stay will soon be the latest additions to the business corridor along Red Run Boulevard in Owings Mills. 

on the corner of Owings Mills and Red Run Boulevard should be completed in August, said Robert Canady, general manager of the next door. Hilton is the parent company of the Hampton Inn brand.

The hotel will have 105 rooms and bring between 30 and 40 jobs to the area, he said.

"The Hampton brand is very strong, and we're hopeful that it attracts its loyal customers … and customers who want a choice between it or the Hilton Garden Inn," Canady said. 

Meanwhile, much more in office space is being constructed about a mile up the road.

A single-story facility will provide 39,000 square feet of "built-to-suit" office space for the Centric Business Systems (CBS) headquarters at 10702 Red Run Blvd., just south of the , according to a company release. CBS, a business technology firm that provides services throughout the Mid-Atlantic, will be the ninth in a business park that includes CareFirst of Maryland and Terminix International.

Merritt Construction Services, a division of Merritt Properties, is in charge of building. CBS will be the only tenant and Merritt Properties will act as the managing partner in the joint venture, with Rick Bastinelli, president of CBS, as co-owner, the release states.

Its construction is also scheduled for completion in late summer.
