Har Sinai Congregation Names Youth Engagement Coordinator

Klaus brings years of experience working with youth groups.

Har Sinai Congregation named Aaron Klaus youth engagement coordinator. In his new position, Klaus leads social, educational and religious activities for students in kindergarten through 12th grades at Har Sinai Congregation. In addition, he oversees the congregation’s madrichim student leadership program and teaches music in the Religious School.

Prior to becoming the youth engagement coordinator, Klaus worked at Temple Micah in Washington, D.C., as a religious school teacher, Hebrew tutor and song leader. He also worked as a counselor and song leader for fourth- through sixth-grade students at the Union for Reform Judaism’s Eisner Camp.

Klaus also has served as the religious and cultural vice president of his youth group as well as a song leader for the North American Federation of Temple Youth–Mid-Atlantic Region.

He graduated from Oberlin College with degrees in physics and trumpet performance. He is currently pursuing a Master of Music in trumpet performance and a certificate in music education at Towson University.
