A culinary event focused on helping others brought together people of various faiths in Owings Mills.

OWINGS MILLS, MD — The annual casserole-making marathon at Har Sinai in Owings Mills was served up with a dash of something extra this year. For 2018, the congregation is celebrating its 175th year in operation.

To mark the occasion, Har Sinai teamed up with other area congregations to cook up 175 casseroles. St. John's co-hosted the event.

Approximately 150 people reportedly participated in the event to make meals for Baltimore's hungry.
