Home Destroyed By New Year's Day Fire In Baltimore County: Report

There was a house fire in Randallstown Monday where heavy flames were showing when firefighters arrived, officials said.

BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD – A house fire broke out near Randallstown on New Year's Day, according to Baltimore County public safety officials. When crews arrived, there was heavy fire showing from the home.

At 3:25 p.m., Fire Director Tom Ramey said that no injuries had been reported.

The fire occurred around 1 p.m. in the 3500 block of Hernwood Road, according to WJZ, which said that the cause remained under investigation Monday evening.

The blaze began in the garage and spread to the house, according to WBAL, which reported the property was declared a total loss after firefighters brought the situation under control. Nobody was reportedly home at the time of the fire.
