I-695 Jammed at Liberty Road for Afternoon Crash

UPDATE (1:45 p.m.)—The crash on Interstate 695 at Liberty Road on the outer loop has been moved to the shoulder, according to WNEW.

Traffic cameras showed that conditions were still congested in the area.

(UPDATE: 1:05 p.m.)—A two-vehicle crash resulted in closure of all lanes near the Liberty Road exit on the outer loop of Interstate 695 for approximately half an hour Tuesday afternoon.

After 1 p.m., the crash had moved to the left lane and left shoulder with two lanes open, traffic cameras showed.

The collision near Liberty Road/MD 26 was reported just before 12:30 p.m., according to the Coordinated Highways Action Response Team (CHART).

Three lanes on I-695 were closed as well as shoulders as first responders handled the crash scene, CHART reported.

At 12:35 p.m., the Maryland State Highway Administration said drivers should expect major delays.
