​Janet 'Leslie' Wroe, 61, of Glyndon

Janet “Leslie” Wroe, of Glyndon, passed peacefully Wednesday, Sept. 14, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Towson. Born Nov. 9, 1954, in Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Edward H. and Janet Shirley Jones Wroe.

She was a 1972 Franklin High graduate and later earned a degree from Strayer College. She held various data entry/secretarial, waitressing and retail clerk positions. She loved animals and performed limited pet sitting services most recently. She loved the piano, gifting presents to friends and relatives and enthusiastically celebrated holidays and other’s special occasions.

She is survived by her brother Allen and his wife, Susan Wroe; nephews Alex and Pearce Wroe; great nieces Creek Elizabeth and Ivy Summerfield Wroe; aunts Jean and Sally Wroe; uncle George Wroe; aunt Marion Adler; and numerous cousins and other relatives. She is also survived by her beloved cat, Morris.

A memorial service will take place at Glyndon United Methodist Church, 4713 Butler Road, Glyndon, on Saturday, Nov. 19, 2016, at 11 a.m. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Baltimore County Humane Society, 1601 Nicodemus Rd., Reisterstown, MD 21136.
