Joseph Dwight Bowman, 98 of Owings Mills, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 9, 2016 at his home.
Born April 2, 1918, in Smithsburg, Md., he was the son of the late Herbert Clayton and Hattie M. Hershel Bowman.
He was the husband of the late Margaret Elizabeth Wiles Bowman, who died in 2009.

He was a retired Transit Bus Operator for the M.T.A. and an Army Veteran of WWII.
He is survived by a friend, Doris Chambers of Owings Mills, stepdaughter Helen Oxidine of Baltimore, nieces, nephews, step grandchildren and step great grandchildren.

He was predeceased by 8 siblings.
Friends may visit on Sunday, April 17, 2016, from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. at the Eckhardt Funeral Chapel, 11605 Reisterstown Rd., Owings Mills, where a funeral service will be held on Monday at 9 a.m.
