Justin Forsett Cut, Re-Signs with Baltimore Ravens
The Baltimore Ravens tweaked their roster before the 2016 season begins, including an unexpected move.

BALTIMORE, MD — The season hasn't started yet, but the Ravens were playing games over the holiday weekend — with their roster. As the team worked to finalize its 53-man roster, the Ravens cut running back Justin Forsett on Saturday, then re-signed him on Monday.
The Ravens described the move as "crafty roster maneuvering" that was admittedly risky.
Cutting Forsett allowed the Ravens to put two others on the roster (safety Matt Elam and defensive tackle Carl Davis) before moving them to the injured reserve list, according to ESPN, which said both had to be on the roster for one day so they could play later in the season.
