Baltimore County Executive Kevin Kamenetz is encouraging citizens to head out of the county and into the city this weekend.

Offering ideas for Mother’s Day weekend, Kamenetz suggested visiting the Inner Harbor and the zoo. He added that Monday night there will be a “reopening” celebration at Camden Yards, where the Orioles had to play for an empty stadium last week after the Baltimore riots.

“Go O’s, go Baltimore County, go Baltimore City,” Kamenetz said at the end of a video message released Friday, in which he asked residents to get out this weekend.

“We benefit from the many wonderful amenities that are available just minutes from county residents,” Kamenetz said in a statement. “Those of us who live in Baltimore County know how important the city is to the entire region.”
