Local Modern Woodmen members honor Hometown Hero

Local Volunteer Judie Ritchie, Owings Mills Md., was recognized for her countless hours of service to the community on 9/27/14 by local Modern Woodmen members.

Ritchie was honored for her steadfast support & volunteering for Operation Welcome Home, through Modern Woodmen’s Hometown Heroes Program. as part of this program, members of the Baltimore Modern Woodmen Chapter presented Ritchie with a certificate and a $100 award grant, to be presented to the charitable organization of the honoree’s choice.

‘Volunteers form the foundations of a strong community, “ says Bibbee, a local Modern Woodmen Chapter activities coordinator. “Modern woodmen’s Hometown Hero program gives us a chance to thank those who selflessly give their time and make the world a better place.”

Coordinated by local Modern Woodmen members, chapters provide opportunities to take part in social activities and community service projects to meet local needs.
