Towson Moves Into First Place Tie After Golden Performance

TOWSON, Md. – Sporting gold uniforms, the Towson University men’s basketball team delivered a 24-carat performance in defeating Drexel, 69-50, in a Colonial Athletic Association men’s basketball game at SECU Arena Saturday afternoon.

Towson (13-6 overall, 4-2 CAA) won its second consecutive contest and leaped into a six-way tie for first place in the congested CAA by getting strong efforts from many including junior Walter Foster, who blocked a career-high seven shots and William Adala Moto, who notched his third straight double-double with game-highs of 16 points and 11 rebounds. Foster’s defensive dominance was the centerpiece of a maniacal presentation that was solid gold.
