I-70 Tractor Trailer Crash Clears: SHA
A tractor trailer overturned on I-70 near I-695 Thursday, officials said.

BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — A flipped tractor trailer on Interstate 70 caused delays near the Baltimore Beltway Thursday evening for nearly five hours. There were major delays on I-70 because of an overturned tractor trailer as of 5 p.m., according to the Maryland State Highway Administration (SHA), which reported the crash cleared by 9:30 p.m.
The crash happened on I-70 east 1 mile from I-695, the SHA reported. The single-vehicle collision occurred at 4:30 p.m, officials said.
Initially after the crash, I-70 east was shut down, while one lane of I-70 west was closed. Officials advised of lengthy delays in the area.

Backups stretched to US 29 after a UPS truck, whose driver declined medical treatment, tipped over, WBAL reported after 5 p.m.
After 7 p.m., the delays were limited to I-70 east. All westbound lanes of I-70 were open. However, the two left lanes and left shoulder were closed on I-70 east.

As of 9:28 p.m., the SHA reported all lanes were open.
