Man Charged In Deadly Hit-And-Run In Owings Mills: Police

One person was charged in a crash that killed a Reisterstown man.

OWINGS MILLS, MD — An Owings Mills driver has been charged in the hit-and-run crash that left a Reisterstown man dead last week. Police said the vehicle stopped briefly after hitting the pedestrian but kept going.

Maxie Henry Roldan, 42, was walking westbound in the 10200 block of South Dolfield Road near Painters Mill Boulevard when he was hit by a white box truck around 12:30 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 28.

Roldan was taken to Sinai Hospital, where he died Saturday, according to police.

Rovyn Joel Prudencio-Banegas, 35, of the unit block of Richmar Road, has been charged with seven traffic offenses: failing to stop at the scene of a crash involving injury, failing to report a crash involving serious injury to police, failure to furnish ID and other offenses.

Prudencio-Banegas was being held without bail at the Baltimore County Detention Center.
