Man Reportedly Shot in Attempted Robbery Near Windsor Mill: Police

Police said the victim was in stable condition Saturday.

The Baltimore County Police Department said it is investigating a shooting reported Friday night near Windsor Mill.

At 10:47 p.m. on Friday, a local hospital notified police that a man had just walked in with a gunshot wound, according to a report from the Baltimore County Police Department.

The victim told police he was outside his vehicle using his cell phone while parked in a neighborhood near Belmont Avenue and Security Boulevard when two men came up to him, said he was being robbed and assaulted him, Lt. Robert McCullough of the Baltimore County Police Department reported.

The 54-year-old victim said he left after at least one shot penetrated the back window of his car and hit him in the back, according to a statement from police. Then the man drove himself to the hospital, the report stated.

The suspects were described as 20 to 30-year-old black men who were 6 feet tall, 180 to 200 pounds and wearing dark clothing, police said. The older of the two had a thin beard, according to the report.

Police said the victim was in stable condition Saturday and was expected to recover from his injury.
