Williams was an employee of the Townes at Harvest View who worked in maintenance, according to the report.

When police arrived, there was “evidence of an extremely violent confrontation,” Baltimore County police spokeswoman Elise Armacost told WBAL at the time. She said Schaefer had been stabbed in her head and upper body, and there were signs of a struggle, such as a great deal of blood on the walls and blinds.

After the murder, employees at the townhouse community reported keys to multiple units had gone missing, according to WJZ.
