Marriott Hotel In Owings Mills Has Tentative Opening Date: Report
The hotel under construction in Owings Mills is reportedly not being held up by the pandemic.

OWINGS MILLS, MD — The new hotel at the Metro Centre in Owings Mills is coming together, and David S. Brown Enterprises shared an inside look at the progress recently.
Since breaking ground last summer, the hotel has grown 10 stories.
When fully built, the Marriott Owings Mills Metro Centre Hotel & Conference Center will have 225 guest rooms, an upscale American restaurant, bar and lounge in the lobby, kosher kitchen, seven meetings rooms, a ballroom, boardroom with terrace, coffee shop, fitness center and other amenities.

It is expected to open in July 2021, according to the Baltimore Business Journal, which said it was the first hotel built in years in Baltimore County and was not affected by the pandemic, which slowed down business at existing establishments.
In the second quarter of 2020, Marriott reported it posted a $234 million loss, following its worst month of the coronavirus pandemic — April — when demand was down 90 percent worldwide. More than 160 properties are under construction through Marriott, the company said in August.

Marriott has marketed the Owings Mills property as "ideally located" near the highway and metro line, which travels through downtown Baltimore.
