Marvin Jerome Seyfer, 89; Life Member of Owings Mills VFW

Marvin Jerome Seyfer, 89, of Hampstead, formerly of Owings Mills, died Thursday, Aug. 27, 2015 in York, Pa., at home with family.

He was born Feb. 26, 1926, in Baltimore.

Marvin was a retired Baltimore City Police Officer. He was member of the Fraternal Order of Police, a life member of the Owings Mills VFW and the Marine Corp League. He was a veteran of the U. S. Marine’s serving in World War II.

Surviving are his daughters, Donna Hoover and husband Frank of Hampstead, and Janet Gilbert of Red Lion, Pa., grandchildren, Sandy, Eric, Julie, Kristin and Chris. He was also survived by 10 great-grandchildren and a lifelong companion, Bonnie Gibson.

Funeral services and interment will be private.

Arrangements are by the Eckhardt Funeral Chapel in Manchester.
