Maryland MEP to Host 'Cheers to Gears' Event at Strategic Factory in Owings Mills
Networking event at Owings Mills-based marketing firm to be held as part of MD MEP's Make it in Maryland Program.

(Columbia, Maryland) – The Maryland Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MD MEP), a non-profit committed to growing and strengthening Maryland manufacturing, announced it will host its Make it in Maryland program’s next ‘Cheers to Gears’ event on Wednesday, February 17, at Strategic Factory’s new headquarters in Owings Mills, Md.
Strategic Factory is a locally owned and operated full-service marketing company that provides graphic design, printing, direct-mailing, signage, promotional products and apparel, and digital marketing services. Founded in 1999, the company is the largest Minuteman Press franchise in the world and serves as the umbrella brand for Miller’s Minuteman Press, Master Signs, Graphic Tango and BRANDED4U.
The Make it in Maryland program is Maryland’s first and only program dedicated to manufacturers within the state to showcase companies, demonstrate the value of manufacturing within Maryland and highlight manufacturing successes.

The first ‘Cheers to Gears’ event of 2016 on Feb. 17 will include a networking reception and a special presentation from Strategic Factory. Following the presentation, guests will be given a tour of Strategic Factory’s new 40,000-square-foot headquarters in Owings Mills. After the tour, Maryland-made food and drink will be provided and attendees will have the opportunity to network with fellow manufacturers.

The Make it in Maryland Program’s ‘Cheers to Gears’ events are hosted monthly by different Make it in Maryland Program members, with an ultimate goal to provide invested companies with an opportunity to experience new facilities, network with and learn more about their Make It In Maryland counterparts.
Designed for members and local manufacturers interested in learning more about MD MEP’s Make it in Maryland Program, ‘Cheers to Gears’ events are one of many ways MD MEP is continuing to work in 2016 to show support and appreciation for companies that invest in Maryland.
